Teens, Adolescents, and The Parent-Child Relationship

Why Adolescent/Teen Counseling?

Adolescence can be one of the most profound life stages faced by both teens and parents. During this time, adolescents are learning to navigate through the extensive physical and emotional changes that are taking place while striving to grow into self-reliable, independent adults. All the while, teens today are facing unprecedented personal, social, and global stressors. Teens today experience higher numbers of anxiety, depression, suicide, and self-harm than any generation before them.

How We Help?

At Anchor of Hope Counseling we believe in the inherent goodness of this generation and we see the potential and greatness in them. We strive to help these adolescents understand what is happening in their mind, body, and world, and develop healthy perspectives and coping tools. We also partner with parents and strive to restore and/or deepen the parent-child connection and relationship.
